Tree Planting Ceremony
Sunday 7 August 2005 , 1330 hours
As part of the IUFRO Congress tradition, we are proud to present the Congress Tree Planting Ceremony at Southbank Parklands. The Parklands, situated on the bank of the Brisbane River are adjacent to the Convention Centre and are a cultural hub for the inner city.
The ceremony will take place in the Rainforest Green at Southbank Parklands and will feature planting of some of Australia 's most unique species. This will provide delegates with an ideal opportunity for an up-close view of some rare and unusual trees.

Welcome Reception

As part of the registration fee, delegates will be invited to attend the official welcome reception to be held in the trade exhibition area on Monday evening. This is an informal opportunity to mingle with fellow delegates and exhibitors following the first day of the Congress. A tempting array of food and beverages will be served.

Following the Closing Ceremony, all participants are invited to join in a celebration of all good things Australian! This will be an informal function held on the Plaza Level of the Convention Centre. A range of entertainment, food and drinks will be offered. This is an opportunity for delegates to wear their national dress.
One ticket included in fulltime and travel companion registration.
