Scientific Program

Program Structure

The overall theme for the XXII IUFRO World Congress, “Forests in the Balance: Linking Tradition and Technology”, will provide the basis for the program format and content. The scientific program will concentrate on demonstrating the progress that forest researchers have made in solving the problems faced by forest stakeholders: policy makers, managers, educationalists and the general public.

Delegates will have access to high profile and authoritative daily keynote speakers and concurrent technical sessions each day. It is an opportunity to access current research, projects and international models from the world's leading forestry and forest science experts. New and innovative program concepts and forums are being explored for the 2005 Congress to ensure maximum value for all participants.
