I am delighted to invite you to attend the 6th International Conference on Managing Pavements to be held 19 – 24 October 2004 in Brisbane, in the state of Queensland, Australia.

This forum brings together leaders in the field of pavements and pavement technology to share their knowledge and exchange ideas.

The themes of this Conference cover the leading topics in the industry today. I'm confident the range of international speakers and discussion topics will offer something of value to all who attend.

"The Challenge" is also guaranteed to stimulate and entertain you as a number of international consortiums compare their solutions to a given road asset management challenge. This exercise will showcase industry best practice and show how far pavement asset management practices have come in the last decade.

We are proud to be hosting this prestigious international Conference in Queensland "the Smart State", with the support of the state's leading road agency, Queensland Department of Main Roads.
