Experience the uniqueness of Australia’s aboriginal heritage and tradition at the joint conference dinner. Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park offers a showcase of culture and cuisine, celebrating the life, beliefs and traditions of the Tjapukai, the people of the Rainforest. Relax with your fellow delegates and enjoy a welcome ceremony, a sumptuous buffet meal and the amazing dance performance that is “Tjapukai by Night”! Transfers to and from the dinner are included.

In-Conference Tour
There are no conference sessions scheduled on Wednesday 14 July. This day has been set aside for conference delegates to network with their colleagues as part of an in-conference tour. Three fantastic options visiting the highlights of North Queensland have been arranged and details are given below. These tours are offered at an additional cost to registration.

For other days of the conference, tourism information will be available in the registration area at the conference venue or at the local tourism information office for accompanying persons wishing to see the sights of Cairns and its surrounds.

Great Barrier Reef
$95 per person (plus Reef Tax - $6 per person, payable on the day)

The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park is one of the largest and most spectacular World Heritage listed marine sites in the world. Join the 22-metre air-conditioned fast catamaran "Reef Magic" to the outer Barrier Reef and enjoy 5 hours on one of ten outer reef sites with complimentary snorkelling equipment, coral viewing vessel, morning and afternoon tea and tropical smorgasbord lunch.



Daintree & Surrounds
$85 per person
7.05am – 5.00pm

Escape into World Heritage listed rainforest wilderness in a luxury 4WD vehicle! You will travel north on the coastal road, then relax over morning tea before joining your guide for a personalised cruise of the famous Daintree River. You then travel through Cape Tribulation Park, a magnificent wilderness region which embraces some of the best undeveloped coastal scenery and rainforest in Australia, before arriving at Daintree Hideaway for a guided walk and a tropical BBQ lunch. Crossing back over the crocodile infested waters of the Daintree River by cable driven ferry, you will visit the beautiful Mossman Gorge and then enjoy a short tour of Port Douglas, before returning to Cairns.

Experience Kuranda
$75 per person
7.05am – 3.15pm

Visit the quaint village of Kuranda, in the rainforest above Cairns. You can enjoy the diverse mix of vibrant shops, famous markets, butterfly and bird sanctuaries, Aboriginal heritage attractions and tropical taste sensations at the local restaurants and cafes. Your journey to and from Kuranda though promises to be the highlight of your day! You will travel up via the winding Scenic Rail, one of the oldest, and most spectacular, railways in Queensland. Then, your trip down is via the Skyrail, where you travel in a gondola gliding just metres above the forest canopy and experience uninterrupted views of the rainforest, Cairns and the coast. Your adventure includes time at two mid-stations, where you can learn more about this fascinating environment.

Please note that minimum numbers apply on all tours and the organisers reserve the right to cancel a tour should these not be achieved. All monies will be refunded in the event of tour cancellation.
