Pfizer
is the world's leading research-based healthcare company
with pharmaceutical products in most therapeutic areas.
The company culture is exciting, dynamic, successful, friendly
and flexible. As part of a global initiative, Pfizer has
established a Biometrics Centre in Sydney to provide biometrics
expertise to Australia, Asia and other global markets. The
Centre collaborates with local, regional and global clinical
and product teams, as well as with Pfizer Worldwide Development
Operations in New York, to ensure the efficient planning,
implementation, analysis and reporting of clinical research
projects. In addition to statistical expertise, the Centre
provides expertise in other areas of clinical data operations,
such as data management and medical writing. For enquiries

For
over 100 years now, Roche has been a pioneer in the discovery,
development, production and marketing of novel health care
solutions. From prevention to diagnosis and treatment, Roche’s
products and services span the spectrum of health care delivery,
each of them helping in some way to improve people’s
well-being and quality of life.
The
Biometrics department of Roche Products is part of Drug
Development in the Medical Department. Drug Development
uses Biometric’s Data Management and Biostatistical
Services to support the clinical trial programs to prove
that drugs provide an acceptable benefit risk ratio in humans.
Biostastistics
staff apply statistical techniques to the analysis of clinical
trial programs in areas such as: AIDs, hepatitis, cancer
and obesity. These trials must be rigorous from a statistical
point of view. All conclusions must be unbiased, objective
and scientifically valid. The Biometrics department is based
in Sydney and employs 35 people.
